Course Project (60 Points)
Due Date: JUNE 15, 2024
A Magical Journey
A. Essay (30 Points)
In a minimum of 150 words, discuss the role and importance of space, places and locations in the Harry Potter series. It might be as specific as the existence of some Ministry departments in handling wizarding spatial problems. It might be the passage of a law affecting many lives. It might be Harry Potter's journey in many places as he fights Lord Voldemort. It may be about the four founders in relations to the places they come from. It may be all about Unplottable places reasons of their unplottability.
Take it as your research topic on anything as long as it touches space (whether it is physical or magical), places and locations in the Harry Potter series. If you have any questions on a topic or any concerns, you can send me a HOL PM, Sett PM or message me on IRC. :))
B. Map Activity (30 Points)
The Harry Potter series is one long magical journey of Harry Potter from the time he survived the killing curse up to the time he waved to his sons on their way to Hogwarts. Inside this one big journey are many journeys that may or may not have affected the course of the big story we all love.
For this project, you are tasked to map a specific journey on the Harry Potter series. It may be as large-scale as Harry Potter's trip to the restricted section in the library under his invisibility cloak or as small-scale as his journey in the seventh book as he fights Lord Voldemort, ending in Hogwarts.
You can put a symbol, point or pin on the places in a picture or map of Britain and Ireland or anywhere it is. Do not forget to put the vital parts of the map like title and the compass rose. Forget about the scale unless you want to include that too. *G*
Do not forget to write down your resources if you use any, especially those that helped you determine that point in the map. Upload the map image to a photo hosting site like Photobucket and send me the link (NO attachments please!) in the email. With it is a paragraph explaining your map, what and whose journey it is, explaining the points in the map and its significance to the bigger story or anything else you want to say.
