Homework 1 (60 Points)

Choose any combination from the following options to get a total of 60 Points.
A. Introduction (10 Points)
Introduce yourself to the class in our class discussion area in the HOL Forum in not less than five sentences. You can tell us your name, year, house, why you join this class and what you expect from it, what your favorite wizarding place is and why. You can also add more information about yourself.
B. Research Essay (20 Points)
In a minimum of 150 words, research about a wizarding community mentioned in the lesson, find more information on it and write an essay about it. What is its history, some facts about the place, and anything you can find about it. Do not forget to write down your resources if you use any. You will get half the points if you fail to reach the 150-word count.
C. Opinion Essay (20 Points)
In a minimum of 150 words, write your opinion on the International Statute of Secrecy in 1689. Do you agree of the wizarding community's decision to hide from the Muggles? Do you disagree? What can you say on the issue of co-existing with the Muggles by the wizarding community? Anything else to say? Do not forget to write down your resources if you use any. You will get half the points if you fail to reach the 150-word count.
D. Map Activity (30 Points)
Locate on a map of Great Britain and Ireland at least 15 of the wizarding villages mentioned in the lesson. You can put a symbol, point or pin on the places in a picture or map of Britain and Ireland. Two points will be awarded for every wizarding village you map, earning you a total of 30 points for mapping at least 15 villages. Do not forget to write down your resources if you use any. Upload the map image to a photo hosting site like Photobucket and send me the link (NO attachments please!) in the email.

- Remember to put your HOL Name and your HOL House in the body of the requirement that you will be passing.
- When turning in requirements in the class, type in the subject line PAM – HW#/Project – HOL Name. For example, if I will turn in homework number 3, my previous student self would type: PAM – HW3 – Sirius Fudge.

- There will be only one due date in this class for this term, JUNE 15, 2024! All requirements must be passed before the end of the term at the said date.
- Requirements must be passed not later than the due date. There will be no extension requests to be made in this class.
